03/15/2025: Diagnosis??

I FINALLY GOT A DIAGNOSIS!!
So I finally saw a rheumatologist. And thankfully, he figured out why everything has been so intense and the fatigure and brain fog. I have Hypermobility Syndrome AND Fibromyalgia! He said that we don't have to do anymore testing and prescribed me Celebrex and Gabapentin.
So I've had this swelling on the inside of my elbows that doctors couldn't figure out what it was from. I was just being thrown medicine left and right and sent to get imaging constantly. But the rheumatologist was like "This happens frequently in hypermobile individuals as an OVERUSE INJURY." My mouth DROPPED. I was like, "I have to stop crocheting and knitting?" And he said "Well...no, if you like doing it and it's stress relief, then keep doing it. Just ask your physical therapist what you can do to help that injury."
So the main thing is medication, physical therapy (which I'm starting aquatic therapy next month), and redusing stress on top of getting enough sleep. That's all I need to do and I'll be totally fine?? It's SUCH a relief to have some answers.
I've been on the medication for only TWO days and WHOA. This is what normal people FEEL like, every day? I have so much energy and I'm nowhere near exhausted. I've woken up the past two mornings feeling pretty refreshed and the pain?? I was easily at like a 7 daily. Now?? I would say maybe a 2? Like I still have some pain in my hips but hopefully with physical therapy, I gain some of my strength back.
I'm gonna cry...

03/01/2025: Behind The Scenes

My body is trying to kill me.
That's literally the only explanation for why I'm in so much pain like, all the time. I'm not sure what happened this past week to make me like this... Oh wait! Yes I do! I did WAY too much. Basically, I tried to plan out my week so I could rest often enough but that just didn't happen. With Joann going out of business, I went not one, but TWICE to stock up on yarn that I need to prep for market season..
I also needed to make a BUNCH of stuff to restock for the weekly markets. I had one doctor's appointment that was kinda farther than normal and it was a lot of testing. And FINALLY, I went to a local book club at the library, which was so much fun but soooo draining
It was just so much more than I normally do, which is basically nothing...As well as putting a LOT on my plate. Knitting new projects. Restocking for markets. Reading more books.
I need a nap...
