I use various metal crochet hooks that I've inherited from both my mother and grandmother. I also use ergonomic silicone grips to alleviate some of my hand pain! Here's a few that I use!
This one is probably one of my favorites. It's a silicone grip from Nerdpreneur Creations and now they have a choose your own colors on their website!
This is my go-to when I'm working with small hooks! It's a silicone grip from CuteCreepyCrochet on Etsy and the tentacle motif is actually really comfortable if you're using a knife grip while you crochet!
This one is my least favorite. It's a Chunky Boy grip and honestly, it's way too heavy for me to comfortably use regularly. It also gets dirty easily and it's difficult to change hooks.
I also use these compression gloves when I'm planning on either kniting or crocheting for a long time. They're super comfortable and machine-washable. They do stretch out after a couple of years but they're only $20 so I highly recommend them.
